For fabric:
As a rule, most vest sizes need about 1/2 a yard of fabric. A yard would be safe and I send any leftover material back with the vest once made.
I prefer heavy bottom weight fabrics, but I can use most any material.
For Zippers:
Please send #3 nylon coil zippers. Any #3 pull works if you are sending the coil and pull separately and not as an assembly. Long zippers work best. Please do not send metal coil zippers. They tend to damage my machines so I no longer use them.
For webbing:
I normally use about 70-71" of webbing. I prefer light weight nylon webbing since it is super strong without the bulky thickness. But any can work. It will need to be either 3/4" wide or 1" wide.
For Color samples:
It is nearly impossible to match thread colors or fabric colors to pictures. Monitors, lighting, etc all make the colors sometimes appear very different to me than they do to you. To match colors, I have a thread chart you can purchase or you can often find local embroidery shops who have it and will let you look at the chart. I use Madiera Polyneon Threads.
If you do not want to purchase the thread chart or are wanting to match a fabric color, I recommend finding a paint chip from the store and sending it to me. I am pretty much able to use anything that has the color you are attempting to match.
