What should I look for on my proof when reviewing?

Be sure to check over your proof carefully. Once you Approve, no changes can be made.

The vest will be made to your approved proof and any errors there were on the proof will be in the final vest.  I am not able to exchange or fix a vest after it is made if it is made with errors that were in the approved proof.

Be sure to review to confirm you are happy with the design:

  • Is the layout and any design elements shown approximately as you want them
  • Is spelling correct? <-- this one is very important as I am dyslexic and often do not realize there are spelling errors
  • Are the fabric colors correct?
  • Are the thread colors correct?
  • If vest has Zippers, is the color correctly shown (black or white)?
  • If you have special requests with any of the straps or buckles or anything... is it noted on the proof?
  • Are add-on's shown on the proof? Be sure the proof has these listed on it somewhere
    • Convertible, glow in the dark thread, thermoplastic handle, metallic thread, zippers (for butterfly vests)
  • If you want d-ring(s) on your vest, are they shown on the proof?
    • If not shown on the proof, they won't be on the vest you receive
Once you have reviewed it:

If you have changes:
Reply to my message with what you would like to revise.

If you are happy with the proof:
Reply being sure to say it is "approved for sewing"

Note, some items cannot be shown on the proofs but will be included in your final vest:

  1. Top stitching along the edges of the vest is not shown but WILL be on the vest.  The stitching will be black, white, or red -- I choose the color based on whichever one is less obvious on the vest.  Unfortunately, there are no other thread color options for this.  The thread I must use for this comes in next to no colors.
  2. The stitching that secures the convertible straps to the center.  The stitching will be black, white, or red -- I choose the color based on whichever one is less obvious on the vest.  Unfortunately, there are no other thread color options for this.  The thread I must use for this comes in next to no colors.
  3. Plaid fabric color - the legend will need to say PLAID
  4. Printed fabric colors - There will need to be a note saying the fabric is printed
